Heater blows cool air

Well, my heater blows cool air! its not cold air, but its not really warm, like it used to be. Also, when I turn the speed up to high, it doesent blow as hard as it used to. The temp **** also acts funy. Its kinda hard to turn sometimes, and sometimes when you turn it you can hear this sound comming from the passenger side under the dash. Im not sure what the problem is, but I need the hot air to work. It will work sometimes for like 15 seconds, then turn cool, and the engine is warmed up. Any suggestions?

Have you checked your coolant level. The same thing happended to me once. The heater will get warm then it will blow cool air then goes warm again then cool again and so on and so on. The reason why i think it might be your coolant level is because my temp gauge would get pretty high so one day i decided to check the reserve tank and noticed that it was very low on coolant so i added 50/50 of coolant and water and the problem has not came up since. BTW the heater got warmer quicker after i did that. From like 5-10mins down to 1-3mins. Hope this helps.
