have to replace shocks and struts

Hey folks...I'm getting ready to replace the shocks and stuts on my 95. The rear isn't a problem but i need some tips on getting the front struts swapped out...If anybody has some enlightenment on the subject, I'd really appreciate your help.

thanks in advance,

mike

Re: have to replace shocks and struts

search for the info on shoebox's installs page. getting them out isnt all that hard. swapping the springs over is a pain if you aint got the right tools, not to mention dangerous. Do yourself a favor and get new front shock mounting assemblies so you dont have to take the old ones apart and maybe you can have a shop put the new shocks onto your new springs and mounts and then all you need to do is bolt them in.

PIECE of cake make sure you get a spring tool, most auto parts stores will let you use there tools with no charge. as long as you take the tool back. and you will need another person to put the nuts on the strut under the hood while you hold it up..
