Exclamation Harmonic Balancer Position (3.4L)

Can someone tell me how far the harmonic balancer needs to be installed onto the crankshaft? I'm getting a no-start condion and i think that the sensor behind it isnt reading that the crank is moving and i'm not getting spark or something. Starter, fuel pump and computer are turning on fine. I even got oil pressure after cranking for like..... a min or so. Thanks to anyone who can help. :-p

Your crank position sensor could be dead.

But if your think the balancer is moving that much, and the bolt is tight as hell.....then your thrust bearing in the engine is gone....which mean you have much bigger problems......(new engine)

I was doing an engine swap.... found out it was just a set of bad injectors.... I was able to get the car running finally, but it wouldnt go over like, 500 rpm. So i swapped the injectors from my old engine onto this one, and it worked first time. Just gotta check simple things first.

Its' kinda odd tho, this engine sounds different from mine, but in a good way. Maybe its because this one's not as messed up as mine was, or something.... :-p I'm leaking water from somewhere, and throwing an SES code, but who knows, probably just simple stuff.

Maybe it needs a new waterpump

jsut double check all your hoses and fittings... probably somethign not tight...

Once so it runs fine? I would reset the PCM, (pull PCM ign, and PCM Batt fuses) and try it again, car was doing some funky stuff at start up...

That program you wrote for the laptop, does it read SES light codes? Or jsut read real time stuff...

Once you get the water problem fixed think you oculd get it up here, and get scotts laptop on it?
