Question GTP in a Camaro V6

I have a magazine somewhere here, GM or Pontiac, well there is an article about a GTP engine being built to I think 400HP or something, Supercharged and all this other crab. I was wondering if the GTP engine will fit a V6 Camaro or if they are the same? Has anyone tried this/done this?

Same engine, GTP engine is turned sideways. Fitting the s/c on a f-body=hard.

GTP is the same motoer as a 3.8L f-body, jsut differnet internals they are internchangeable, the GTP has fuel injsectors in the heads, becuase of the blower, and the 3.8L has them in the intake manifold...

ITs hard to do, but people are looking into ways to get it to work...

btw people have put GTP motors in but are using a normal blower, or a turbo, not a roots style blower like the GTP.

LOL this topic will never die until it's actually done. The conversion has been done on a 3rd gen but not any of the 93-02's. I'm waiting to see it myself lol. But I'm thinking a Greddy or T3 might be an easier route if you can find a way around the placement issues. Keep hope alive though cause I'm a huge turbo fan and recently you cant pick up a chevy mag without seeing something turbo charged. The sickest install I saw was an 89 vette with a twin turbo setup on a edelbrock fuel injected, 383 stroker!!! There was no room for anything in the bay, but it works and is a daily driver. main thing

just like the owner said "you can get anything done to your car you want, as long as the money is there". And I think he spent in the 20-30,000 dollor range. But it's sooooooo worth it

Will it bolt right up? NO

Could it be done?
I think anything can be done with enough money and modification.

Is it worth it?
No, just buy a Z28 or SS if you want more power.

Whatsup stars? Normally I only see you over in the 5th gen forum!

Anyway, like he said Formulated, it seems like just buying an LS1 F-body would be money better spent than going crazy on the 3.8.
