Governor Switch Removal

I am wanting to know if anyone can tell or show me how to get rid of the ever annoying governor switch. My governor hits at 115 and I know my car can do well over 140..... I have a 94 3.4L and need this removed. Is there any way???????? Thnx for input Soccaballa2k4@aol.com

You have to reprogram it using something like hypertech, only I don't think they make a hypertech programmer for the 3.4l.

You will need to have the computer reprogrammed to remove the limiter. Also, unless your car has some serious mods, that 3.4 is'nt gonna push that heavy F-bod much past 130. I used to have one with a 5-speed and even with 15,000 miles on it with a recent tune up, it was still slow after about 90.

Isn't this the 2nd time you've asked this now in the past week? You got the correct answer in your first thread, in the 2nd or 3rd post. There is no "switch" it's computer controlled.

You could always throw a DPDT swicth between the sensor and the computer. I have yet to try this, but I believe that it will work. The only problem is that you will not have a working speedo when you hit the switch. If you would like to keep the speedo working, you will need programming from Fastchips which is around $400 I think.
