got problem... need some 3.4l EGR, and removal of sanpped bolt techniques..

I have had this problem once or twice befoe, bolts holding the EGR on coming loose, and they burning up my igniotn wirtes on passenger side.

Either way, the bolt snapped it self I was oging to tighten it, but as soon as I hit it, fell off, and I saw it was broken, andy tips on how to get the rest of the bolt out? I was thinking of jsut trying to weld it to the exhasut manifold.

also wondering are there any !egr. thinking blocking it off at exhaust manifold and upper intake plenum but keeping it plugged in would work?

Any ideas?

You might be able to get the bolt out with some reverse drill bits...usually any good tool place has them...Lowe's and Home Depot carries some cheaper little things...screw extractors...but they break pretty easy.

Thought about the block off thing myself...I know others have done it, but dunno the details...Wouldn't weld it though..then you would be having some major probs if you decided to change something about the setup.

I will just block the ports and bypass it. leave the egr pluggeed in to not get a code.

I will try some wht worries me is the bolt broke on its own... I didn't not touch it, over tighten it or anything. And its in the exhaust manifold which means it will be a bitch to get out.

either way looks like i might be chanign igniton wires... kinda wanted to go to the track wed. after theis cold fornt gets through....

Honestly I think i invented a new thing... typing dyslexia.

I usually type ok, if I concentrate. hehe on other message boards I have had 10 member come out and bitch about me typing jsut instead of just. My common typos.

jsut=just
form=from
hte=the

And alot of my non capitilazation problems are I hit shift, then let go before I hit the key I want.

I think I should open the Eric Mortn school for kids who can't tyep good, and want to do other things good too.

Think this typing is bad... you should see the bugs i get writing computer code.
