Post Got the basics... what should be done next?

I have a 96.. its got the y87 package.. i put on some dynomax exhaust and an SLP CAI.. What should i do next to boost my performance?.. I dont want Nitrous and cant afford a S/C while i am in college.. any little ideas? I have heard of the TB Bypass but i dont think it applies to my car.. Reprogramming the comp has long-term downsides.. I am basically trying to make it a little quicker while maintaining the reliability and not harming the engine.....

I'm in the same boat, I have a SLP CAI and SS loudmouth exhaust on the way (hoping it'll be here this week) and i'm looking for the next step. I was thinking along the lines of headers, or heads/cam from supersixmotors.com. I havn't heard any news about supersixmotor.com's stuff yet, but a cam and heads should boast power alot. If anyone else has any ideas please tell me.

Hay what do you know Iam also in the same boat too. I have 98 camaro with a SS hood, whisper lidm,K&N filter, 3in catback exhaust with flowmaster 80 series. I think next Iam going to get a high flow cat and those pacesetter headers and before or after that a transgo shift kit, and some new ties. After that Iam in the dark.

Get a 3000 stall 9.5" torque converter. It'll help give you great launches, and could take up to .5 off your 1/4 mile time.
