This has been a problem ever since i got my camaro you know the window switches etc. by the door handles, how the white "pictures of the windows" are supposed to glow, well mine dont... i took off that panel and it looks like there is some sort of light with a little slit that makes them glow possibly like a UV LED or something, does any one know what im talking about, basically im wondering if the bulb that im seeing is my problem, because neither door's switches are lit up...

 

I'm not sure but the switches don't light up by themselves. Atleast on my '94 there is a little light that lights up all the switches on the panel, same with my friends 96SS. Are you talking about the same light I am, the one above all the switched on the plastic piece?? If so that is your problem if that light isn't lighting up.

 

yeah thats what im talking about, but is that a regular like incandesent light bulb or is it some special one

 

You should be able to buy them anywhere i got mine from wal-mart. They are a regular light like the color of your headlights etc.
I wish you could get them in different colors.

I have a 93 Firebird and they only glow on passenger side. Does it use a bulb for the 93s?

 

If you look on the bulb it should have a number imprinted on it. That's the bulb number you go by when replacing.
