Gen I 383 Swap

This week or next I am going to swap a Gen I 383 (From A 71 Impala) into my 95 3.4L. I am statring to think that I am going to have problems with the swap than if I were doing a LT1 (Gen 2) swap. It is carbed so I know I will have cowl clearance issues, but what else? What is the difference betweekn a Gen I & Gen II Block?

This sounds like an advanced tech post. Most people ask what you need for a 93-97 LT1 or a 98-02 LS1 swap, but I have no clue what you will need for this kind of swap. I assume a new tranny with a correct fitting belhousing will be needed, not to mention a stronger rearend and driveshaft that fits (if the trans is a different length).
