I have a 96 V6 with a flowmaster wtih dual outs and Z28 tips. I'm getting a little bored of the sound and want to make it a little louder. I am planning on taking off my cat this week and having a pipe that goes straight to my muffler and out. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if so how does it sound. The only thing i don't want is the stupid ricey sound, which i hate!!! How much louder does it make it and how much difference in hp is there?? Is it noticeable at all?? Plz give me suggestions on if i should rip my cat off or not. Thanx for your reply's!!!

 

Not sure about the !cat sound.It sounded like crap on my 3.4 V6.However,if you are looking for sound then I say go for a larger I-pipe.That made my 3.4 sound 100 X better than with just a muffler.Good luck.
