funny question for you guys

hello everyone. ive got a bit of a problem. ive been all over the internet and i cant seem to figure out my problem. alright, ive got a 84 porsche 944 with a chevy 3.8. i believe that it came out of a bonneville or something else. i think its the gen1 motor. anyway, one day i went to drive it, it started up and then it died. then it wouldnt start. im getting fuel and air, no spark. this motor is carbed as well. i was thinking that the crank sensor is bad. ive gotten that much from different sites. i just dont know how to get it off. ive got everything loose, just cant get the sensor out. anyone help me?

Re: funny question for you guys

what crank sensor are you talking about? the crank sensor is behind the harmonic balancer. Can you be more specific about what motor you actually have?
