my fuel pump and guage stopped working,just had a new fuel pump and sending unit put in and it worked fine for a couple of months. now it stumbled and died out and won't start. i sprayed gas into the intake and it fired up but only for a few seconds. it's definitly the pump not working because it does not pressurise the system when you turn the key on. the guage goes over to past full instead of where it's supposed to be. this car has been having some starting /stay running issues in the past year. the dealer couldn't figure it out so they changed the pump and sending unit and charged me a lot of money. i'm not taking it to them since they are a bunch of theives. i took the relay switch for the fuel pump out to swap it out and that might fix it. this is a 97 Z/28 that has headers and roller rockers and had the pcm reset to match. also no cats. the cam 540 lift and puts out 286hp to the wheels. it's on you tube under bender23 i think for the dyno run.

 

might want to move this to LT1 forum, I have seen some cases were the old or "cheap" fuel pump causes a big amp pull and causes connection issues were the plug plugs into the body on both sides, look for melted plastic inside the connecter on the out and inside of the body.
