flughing coolant system probs

i just bought my 97 3.8L camaro, and it had never had the coolant flushed, 64k kms, and it had a load of sludge in the whole system, so today, i flushed it, using the prestone additive flush system, and then multiple water flushings, but the gunk is still stuck onto the inner sides of the radiator, its brown, and very sludg-y... is the only thing to do is have the radiator proffesionally flushed, using hi pressure stuff... or is there a simple answer to this problem

thanks
ian

simple answer...the sh.. stuff...is all over in your engine block as well as your radiator...so keep flushing with water...untill the water comming out is clear...close it up...run the engine...drive it around for a day or two then flush again...keep that up for about a week and you should be good...its alot better than paying someone else to work on your car

I had the same problem with my 97 RS.. Its caused from the original orange dexcool from the factory.. it screws everything up., and if u refill with the yellow, it makes it worse.. ur best bet is to go have it profesionally flused, and they will refill w/yellow coolant.. they say its okay to refill w/yellow... as long as its been professionally done. .I had mine done about 2 wks ago. and it runs fine now :-D
