Flowtech muffler on a 3.8
Flowtech muffler on a 3.8
Friday I am putting a flowtech muffler on my 3.8L. Its a single in, dual out. I am going to keep the factory piping, and just switch out the muffler. It wont sound AS good as it could, but I only have about 100$ to spend. I mainly just want the dual tips comming out the back for looks, I dont really care about the sound, I got the V8 Silverado for that
I will post back and let yall know what it sounds like. The guy thats doin it for me said it should sound pretty good.

If its not too late go with a take off from either www.hawksthirdgenparts.com or www.SLPeng.com they look great and sound great. Plus the install is simple and very clean.
Ok, well, haha, in fear of not liking what this is going to sound like, I have changed my mind. I have noticed that all other brands of mufflers out there sound like a ricer or something at high RPMs on a 3.8L, and I really dont want that. So I come to yall with a question. Do they make a muffler for the 3.8L that sounds like the stock one, but has dual outs. I REALLY just want the 3" slant cut chrome tips sticking out the rear. Im not too worried about sound, since the town in live in does have a sound ordance (and they pull people all the time for it) but sound would be nice. So what are yalls opinions? I just need a muffler that has the factory tone but has dual outs. thanks!
