evap purge valve solenoid
so i put the evap solenoid on , i just got a new one in the mail,..and it is still not starting up...im left with no more guesses as to what it could be....? could it be a bad crankshaft sensor???please help people,. i know im prob going to have to use my georrge busch stimulus check to fix my car and that sux, because i wanted to get some aftermarket parts put on instead anyhow, can somebody pleeeeeeez help me,..any similar problems??..at all??
I know I've responded to several of your threads, but can you refresh my memory as to what you have checked and replaced on the car so far. Taking it down to the basics, have you checked for good fuel pressure and spark?
yes u are more then right bout posting to my threads...and i appreciate that,...i have replaced all the spark plugs, evap purge valve(on the gas tank),also the evap purge solenoid, a new battery 80/, and i have released the valve pressure cap on the left side of the fuel rail, and squirts out fuel....and i havent gotten anyone to come over here to start the car while i do the screwdriver trick with the spark plug terminal yet, so thats next,....but i did notice that the butterfly in the throttle body isnt opening when i have the gas pedal to the ground,..normal??
Even if you replace all the plugs, you might still have an ignition related problem as you might not be getting spark to each of the plugs. The same goes for the fuel pressure. You might have some pressure at the rail, but it might not be enough for the car to start and operate properly. The only way of knowing would be to put a fuel pressure gauge on the Schrader valve on the fuel rail and take a fuel pressure reading.
i have an air pressure gauge extension, but wont fit onto it properly, would i have to purchase a "fuel pressure gauge" at pep boys?? are they in-expensive...? and should i /can i take off the 3 sets of coil packs to check if something is burnt out?? im a visual person and have very big hands i have cut them on working in the engine bay several times from the plastic below the windsheld ...it never fails me to get a scratch or a laseraration somewhere/somehow when im checking stuff close by the manifold exc.

and then when i do purchase one what should the readings be(psi)? for a 3.8 231ci. of course....and im sorry for asking, but is the schraeder valve the valve on the passenger side with the black valve stem like cap?
