Engine Swap (partial)

Youve all probably seen this 1000 times, but my girlfriend has a 98 firebird, 3.8L (Engine code K) in it... Ive torn down a few of these, and also two 3.8L SeriesII Supercharged (Engine code 1) engines...

Now, these are pretty similar engines and I have asked a few GM guys, and got mixed reviews...

Can I take the top half, being the upper plenum, fuel rail and injectors, pcm, and blower assembly from a 3.8 S-II engine and put it right on top of the normal 3.8L engine? Has anyone done this? I think it would work, but am not positive... Please enlighten me!

Thanks!

No.

Friendly tip - use the "search" function if you think you are going to be asking something that has been asked before.

Okay... how bout just throwing a supercharged motor (with some parts changed to fit of course) in the car then? ECM and all?

Or

just cheaper/easier to get the mani's made and just turbo it?
