Engine Light is on

Since i've had my car, which has been a few months, im finally getting it on the road again, but in order to get a sticker i need the service engine soon light to go off, is there a way to manually put the light out or do you have to go in through the computer?

Re: Engine Light is on

Take it to AUTOZONE. They will scan it for free! I just had my 02 z28 scaned there today. Found out my SES light is on because of a bad oxygen senser.

Just go in and tell then you need it scanned so you know what part you need to fix it. And they can clear it out of your computer = turn the SES light off.

Please post how it goes and what you find out.

yea, give me some input on what you find out also... because my 98's came on because of a bad seal on the gas cap, it was letting fuel pressure out... I took care of it without having to buy a new one.
