Question engine codes

i'm trying to retrieve engine codes on my 94 camaro with obd1. i tried using the paper clip method and also got a key from autozone and that didn't work either. does anyone have any suggestions? thanks

That method worked on a 3rd Gen on a 4th Gen you need a code reader.

I forgot to add that you will need an OBD1 reader.
