emissions canister

i was just wondering, on my emissions canister it has a hose that pretty much goes no where other than dangle in the fender well. is it supposed to be just an open vent line? or does it connect to something?

if you are talking about the charcoal cannister , it should connect to your gas tank

it has some hoses that look like they run to the tank, but there is one hose on there that goes no where. thats the one im wondering about does it just hang there or does it connect to something.

There are no hoses in the fbody evap system that go nowhere, its a pressurizd system. I see if i can find you a diagram of how it should look if i remember.
