ECU Programming for Turbo

I'm going to turbo my 3.4. I know what I'm doing, and I have everything I need on hand. The biggest obstacle for me, at the moment, is figuring out how to program the PCM to deal with boost. Is there a way to incorporate a 3-bar map sensor into my stock ECU w/ some programming, or do I need to go aftermarket standalone? If so, how much of a PITA would a halltech system be to hook up? It doesn't look that bad, since it uses DIS and can be set up for the SFI. Is this sort of a bolt-on, in a weird way?

For those of you who have done turbo set ups, how did you get the computer to recognize and compensate for boost?

Anyone who's turboed a 3.4-- do you have any useful links, etc.? I'm mostly interested in the plumbing, I think I'm going to fabricate my own 3.4l turbo header.

cant you just use an FMU that raises the line pressure for your fuel with each pound of boost you develop? that is how we did my friend's probe

Yeah, you can. But that doesn't take RPM and timing into consideration. I want something to work perfectly. I'm thinking about using the Haltech E6GM, if it will replace the ECU in my 94 V6.
