Alright, this may be a dumb question but...

is there a difference between ecu and ecm? i'm looking for and engine and tranny combo that includes the computer, but some offers include the "ecu" and others the "ecm".

No, it should mean the same thing, they usually throw out a few different versions to confuse you. ECU=electronic control unit ECM=electronic control module PCM=powertrain control module
