I think they just wanted to get the car to the parts store to have the battery installed, not compete in the 24 hrs. of Lemans race.

so, it turns out that my battery wouldn't even charge/get jumped because it was FROZEN

So I went into town and got a battery and put it in and now everything is great, i.e. my car is up and running again =D

The battery's on our cars are actually a PITA being so close to the A/C condensor... I can't count the number of times my clumbsy tools led to my completing the circiut because I made contact between the positive end and the condensor yow! There's still worse battery locations though... *cough* Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler, Mercede's... *cough*

Also alittle word of advice for you guys... if you buy an Alternator, don't buy it from Autozone...it's gaurunteed crap for all makes and models. Proved true with every Alternator I bought from them. Napa Auto Parts I believe has the best electrical setts but they can be kinda costly too...
