DRIVESHAFT!!! My 98 Camaro

ok, i made a big mistake the other day... what i did isnt the problem, lol, the problem is what is wrong.

It starts off by my dumbass takin my car out after a day of snow (no snow on the road) but still kinda chilly out. When I was on my road, i took a turn and there was a patch of ice on the ground, i guess my speedo got up to about 90 then I caught traction (heres the bad part) at first i thought it was my rear end that might have stripped, but then i started to pay attention to the noise better and it was a clanking sound (when put in ANY gear except park) so i threw it on jackstands today, started it up and looked under there. Either my driveshat is a 2 piece, or i made it one... here is where im confused on what part to buy, the transmission turns the yoke and the U joint turns the driveshaft (first half), then i look toward the middle of the shaft and notice like it isnt connected some how. you can see where grease had speckled where the broken part is.
I mean after the farst half of the driveshaft nothing else turns, it just makes a nasty constant clanking noise.

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I NEED!!!

thanks
Chris

Re: DRIVESHAFT!!! My 98 Camaro

YOu have a 98?

I cannot remember, but alot of v6s had 2 pieces, and alot had one piece driveshafts...

Either way if your driveshaft was broken, part of it would likely be laying on the ground.

If you have a 2 piece, and its not broken, I'd consider upgrading to a 1-piece steel, it will give you less problems down the road.

it should be a 2 piece so just get a single piece aluminum one from a v8 should be samething and its lighter so you will lay more power to the pavement.
