does anyone have the pages from the GM service manual that tell how to change the crank position sensor or have diagrams? (Haynes ignores this issue). I am still tracking down my strange engine noise and my newest theory is that my mechanic installed this wrong and it is being hit. This was suggested to me by a Mercedes mechanic as something that had happend in two GM 3.8's he looked at (unfortunatly he lives in my hometown and not near me in DC).

The sensor I suspect is the one on the side of block, not the one behind the crank pulley. Would really appreciate it if you can help. This problem has been killing me for about two months
