difference between 96 v-6 camaro's and 98+

Hey guys, I just bought a 96 camaro convertible. I have been trying to buy parts from summit racing but just about everything for the v-6 are for 98 -2000 or 98 -2002. I know on the 98's they did an exterior changes I am more concerned with engine and other mechanical changes. Like when I bought performance plug wires they only had them for a 98 - 00 3.8, although they did fit. that and the transmission mount they only carried it for 98 - 02. I couldnt find a poly urithane mount for a 96. So whats the differences? Anything else I might want to know. I thought all the 3.8's would be the same. Thanks ... Erik

mechanicaly and electricaly they are pretty much exactly the same car. The only major difference that I know if is the breaks, suspension on some of them, and like you already said the exteriror.
