ok, i have to replace my belt tensioner every 10 months, because it starts to squeel, is there any place i can get one that doesnt have that cheap plastic wheel? because i feel thats what is wearing out, i usually get them at advanced auto, is it a brand problem or what? this is pissing me off, i dont wanna have to buy a new belt tensioner every 10 months.

 

advance uses the dayco line. It's a good quality part. Gates also makes one. But it's not because the "wheel" is plastic Look into it being another part thats making the noise before you condem the tentioner

 

go to NAPA and get one. Mine went out and i went to autozone to get one and it was crappy plastic. went to napa and picked one up for bout 35-40 bucs and it is all metal just as the stock one is. haven't had a problem since!
