Coolant leaking from behind motor...

Sorry, this is for a 1994 Sunbird. This is one of the best sources for info so I came here. For some reason this thing is leaking coolant between the firewall and motor. Anyone know where I can find out what is back there that has to do with the cooling system? Maybe it's the heater core, I don't know. Thanks!

unfortunatley I don't the specifics of the car you're talking about; however, I can say when t comes to leaking collant don't take chances....... maybee a good idea is to really clean everything up real good I mean real good then drive the car a little ( pull the spark plugs and check inside first just to be safe)... after driving the car a little with everything cleaned up you should be able to locate your source of leakeage

How much is it leaking, is it just running a little low or is it empty???

best of luck for an easy fix

I do not know alot about that car either, but front wheel or rear wheel drive?

If it is front wheel, then it could very well be a heater core hose leaking, I do not recall any issues with heads or intakes. But it really should not be hard to trace. just follow the water trail.

FWD 3.1 V6. The fwd's make it hard to see things under the mood. I am leaning toward heater core.
