Coolant leak - Help!

I just recently noticed that my camaro is leaking coolant. This only seems to be happening when I park it on an incline. It goes away if I back it into the driveway. It sometimes leaks if its parked flat. What could be the problem and how should I fix it?

Re: Coolant leak - Help!

It sounds like its leaking while the engine is running and it pools somewhere, so it only runs out when you are parked with the front end pointing one direction.

I'd go take it for a drive, bring it back in the garage, put it right up on the stands or ramps and look for leaks.

Once you find out where the leak is we can help you lots more.

The metal plate in front of the Oilpan? That would be the K-Member.

We are talking about a 3.8L engine, right?

Well, either way... There is a ton of things above the K-member that could be leaking.

I assume you have already checked all your hose calmps and connections, right?

Next I'd look at your water pump, is there coolant coming out of the weep hole?
