coolant boiling out cap?

i just replaced my plugs n wires today, gapped them right, did everything right, it went very well, i drive my car around this afternoon and it drives great (but i dont think to look at my temp needle) well i get home, and go inside, 45 minutes later my dad says somethings leakin outta my car, i go out and there is coolant runnin all down the carport, from what i can tell, it boiled over and outta the coolant cap, WTF is goin on? any ideas? im pretty sure it overheated, but why now? after the change, didnt do it before? thanks

well, im not really sure, when i looked (after the car was off) it was like near or past the 3rd mark, and it usually stays near where it was when i turn it off, so it def. was hot, but now when i drive, itll get to half way, sometimes a lil more then halfway, it usually dont do that, im afraid if i went anywhere and had to drive more then 30 minutes that it would get hot again, if though i only drove it like 20 when it overheated, any ideas
