civics.... haha

last night my friend and I were on our way home from a friends house at 1:00a.m. and when i get on to 280, i notice a civic doing about 90 on the freeway, so i get thinking how my car will stand with those things, so i catch up in anticipation. he wanted to play because he went from far lane to right next to me and we were pacing eachother for a lil bit. I see hes done some ext. mods and lowered it. he give me the three honks and i start to inch out from there. in a matter of 5 seconds i went from even to him at my rear quarter panel, and i had a passenger, he didnt. i think its not that bad for me. i didnt post this in the kill sections, because they hate on v6's.

Nice

You don't happen to have any vids or sound clips of your ride w/ the Pacesetters do ya? I'm looking around hoping to find someone with those headers who can provide me a review on em. Since they're pretty cheap I've thought about throwing em on the 3.4 to give it a lil deeper growl

If that was a Si, it would have spanked you silly at that speed.

Come to my area of the Bay...hang out one night with the group of imports I run with, you won't have anything to laugh about.

I can see why you didn't post this in the Kill Section. They wouldn't hate on you if it was a good kill...I've posted on there before and didn't get any crap. Then again...it wasn't about any wus Civics.

I was about to say that. Watch out for "real" civic so to speak. Those Si's are no joke for a 3.4L Camaro.

hey, a civic is better than nothing.

where did you guys say you chilled? San Jo area? I'm coming back up there for winter vacation. Going to put a bunch of mods on finally. I need a base of comparison for the before and after.

so yeah, if any of you guys want to get together and run each other next week, let me know plz.

I got hammered by a turbo civic on the highway. However there was an SVT cobra that was in no mode for antaganization and slaughted the civic. Although i'm not a big ford fan, i appreciate the american support on the highway.

I am very sorry, but I find it HARD to belive...Civic SI (stock has 160 hp). It is lighter then your car...but your mods might of brought the balance back....I raced Civic SI 1999 or so and we were pretty damn close. I beat it, but my car was giving out all it had... IF you are from BA, then u know what kind of "civics"are out there.
I want to add a little shame on myself here...ON 101, close to SJm during the night, I TRIED to run a civic. I don't know what it was, but that car handed my *** to me on a silver plate...I was like: "Yo CIVIC, Daaaaamn....BYE CIVIC".... So, please, do not underestimate our japanese friends...

And one more thing I want to add here:
My ex had a 2k Celica GTS, 5 speed + i installed an intake, as a present for the b....ch . Anyhow. I posted a message on this board, about me racing with that car. I got a lot of responses that Celicas are ****, they are pissa-crap-cars, etc, etc. Most of ALL a lot of messages told me that my car would open a "can-o-whoopass". Well...I raced my ex, she can't drive for s....t, and the car killed me all the way from 3rd gear. I drove her car also and I want to make a statement here: That Celicas GTS will kick our asses from 1 through 5 IF the driver knows how to drive. I do not consider myself as a good driver, just average, but that VVTI thing...LOOOOOL...u must feel it to belive me.

On the similar note I want to ask all the members of these board: Don't u think that we have a tad too much testosterone running up here? I know what my car is capable off and some posts just make me laugh...

p.p.s. I sorta ran a 95-97 GT mustang on the curvey exit to the freeway: Here is what happened: I owned him on the turns, because my car is lowered, but when we got on the freeway, he killed me. Well....he passed me because i did not feel like racing, but then I decided to catch up and I couldn't My limiter kicked in at 118.... What is their limiter set to?

Thank you for reading,
max.

i don't think anyone denies there are some fast cars out there from all camps. the thing is, 9 times out of 10 that civic "Si" is nothing more than a riced up DX pretending to be something it is not. that is why they get such a bad rep. but i wouldn't go so far as to say that us ragging on them is a mistake. its funny as hell when riceboys think they can take out big muscle V8s when the truth is they couldn't even touch most of our V6s.

you were beat by a civic? that's fine. it must have had some real grunt to it. you know what you need to do? GET MODDING.

the bottom line is, our cars usually _are_ faster than a lot of cars out there. why shouldn't we boast about it?

props to all fast going cars. period.
