it is going out if it starts blowing hot air. my 93 did that and i changed everything but nothing worked unless you want to spend big money on a new compressor. it could also have ran out of freon. good luck

when my freon got low in my other car, the compressor would cycle on and off... listen for that

i think you check the freon with a special gauge they have. my dads mechanic checked it for us. does it blow warm air sometimes or all the time? mine did that and that means it needs a compressor

Fixed my a/c last weekend. Same problem. Blew nothing but hot air. I went to Walmart and bought a r134a ac recharge kit. Comes with a hose, guage and can of r134a.Unscrew cap on the side of the a/c drier(accumulator), plug in hose and guage(accumulator) start car and max a/c. Check pressure. If it's low, take off guage and screw on can of r134a.

Take it somewhere where they can check for leaks, since recharging it might only be a temporary solution....
