A/C help

hey guys...i fixed my A/C yest by recharging it but now when i have the A/C on and i drive there is this really loud screech it doesnt happen when the A/C is off..I tried some belt dressing but it didnt work....please help...by the way i got a 95 3.4

Question

Where is the noide coming from? Inside of the car? From the engine compartment?

its comin from the engine...i think from the a/c pulley

if the compressor went bad the air wouldnt be cold am i right?

That is correct.

If you are still getting cold air, the compressor might not ge completely gone. It could be just the bearing making that noise. If the bearing is making the noise, it will eventually kill the compressor and you won't be getting any cold air anymore.

Might want to have a mechanic take a look at it and see.

Might even turn out to be something non-A/C related...
