my friend has an 92 v6 firebird with a 5 speed tranny and he just broke his transmission mount and he said he found a replacement mount but it was about $60 does this sound right? cause i thought a tranny mount was a $5 piece of rubber!

Was the replacement rubber or was it an after market poly mount? Although i could see GM charging the rediculous price of 60 bucks for a part of that nature.
