Depends what your budget is. If you want to tackle a swap, an LS2 should be big enough(6.2liter).

"Biggest" in terms of displacement? ..... horsepower? ...... physical size?

Will it be running normally aspirated, or with forced induction (supercharger, turbocharger), or with nitrous?

What is your budget?

The 4th Gen chassis will accept any of the LSx series of engines, so you could go with the Corvette 7 Liter Gen Z06 engine. Max factory HP would be the Corvette 620HP supercharged ZR1 engine. You can get aftermarket block that allow you to build a 454ci (7.4 L) LSx engine. Here's one from Mast Motorsport that makes 700HP, normally aspirated. (Follow links to "X-Block 454 SS"):

You can also fit a Big Block Chevy in the 4th Gen chassis. Here's a 454 in an early 4th Gen:

John Moss's put a 510ci big block 4th Gen.

Here's a 97 SS convertible with a 1,350HP Vortech supercharged 383 cubic inch Gen 1 SBC. Car ran low 8's in the 1/4-mile, at close to 170 MPH:

It did need the SS hood to clear the throttle body.
