Id reccomend the borla full catback with the largest hole plate for the loudest sound, comes with cool tips too.

if you want cheap, go with flowmaster 80 series. unless you redo the whole exhaust it is prolly still going to sound kinda crappy. i say mine sounds pretty good, but i revamped the whole intake/exhaust.

Cool

I've got the z28 stock muffler back exhaust on mine. I like the sound, not too loud and it is much better than the stock v6...

Borla and the word cheap...those are two things you don't hear a lot of.

Borla is one of the more expensive exhausts out there. Flowmaster is more popular because it is a lot cheaper.

Personally, if you want to go cheap and have a nice sound...I'd recommend the Flowmaster American Thunder system. Sounds sweet. I'd get it if I didn't get my Borla for next to nothing from a friend.

well my concern is about the ricey/poping sound. i hate it. i had a revin on my 3.4 and it sucked. i also want something that looks really good. there arent too many good looking tips out there i guess. i think that 3.5 inch rolled looks pretty good but i think it look kinda ****ty if the tailpipes are less than 3 inches. it looks best when the tailpipe and tips are close to the same size. how does edelbrock rpm series sound? they only have 2.5 inch tailpipes though. i do like some of the intercooled edelbrock tips except for the black band that goes around the back of them. yea im picky but i want to do everything perfect for the black 98 m5 i traded my 95a4 in for yesterday

B&B

I really like the sound and look of my B&B Triflo which is also for sale @ the moment due to the fact that I'm swapping motors. The B&B usually retails for 650 plus shipping for the quad tips. I am selling mine for 400 plus shipping. I hope this pic works. Let me know if you are interested.

loudmouth

I just put loudmouth on my car in september... It does require custom fitting that any decent exhaust shop can do without much problem. Just watch out for a bracket that the exhaust must go through, its 3'' in diameter and barely clears that bracket. I like SS Loudmouth just because it scares the **** out of people with that much noise, but its not for everyone. It is extremely loud, as the name implies, sounds a little ricey at 5k+ RPMs, and pops when reving and sometimes downshifting. For most people, the route to go is with B&B or borla, unless you want to police to hear you coming a mile away, and riceboys to insist you have a 8 and not a 6 (and thus not race).

Cool Nice exhaust sounds

Look into Edelbrook 3" cat back. I really like the mellow sound and no rasp. The price is right also. I run many laps turning 5k to 5.8k.

tips length on Edelbrock

the tips are cut at an angle to exit to the ground and extend beond the bumper, therefor tips are an option
