what do you guys think the best catback is for under $350?????????
I want a loud and throaty system that gives good power gains.
I know that flowmaster sounds great, not sure on the power gains.
As for dynomax, I dont know anything about but ive heard good things.
As for edelbrock I dont know much, but also dont know if they make a system for a 99 3.8l.
As for the loudmouth i would love to get it but it is a little pricey. Plus i dont know how it sounds on a six. And also you need to buy the installation kit and an o2 bung?????????? i have no idea.
Borla and B&B are way out of my league.

I would appreciate any help!!!!

I personaly think you should either think about getting either flowmaster or dynomax . Personaly I like the flowmaster better because it sounds just like a V8 until you get up into the upper RPM range , but I heard it gets kinda ricey in the upper RPM range , but then again its just a V6 and they all get kinda ricey in the upper RPM range. Dynomax is also a good choice but its all up to you.Do a searth on finding some sound clips for both exhaust.oh ,and Its just a V6 and I think any exhaust you would get would give you as much horsepower as all the other exhaust there are.

I definitely want a catback. I also definitely want the nice big chrome tips look.

Can any of you tell me which sites to look at or a product number that you recommend would be nice

I have also been looking at cutouts! My friend has a 97 z28 with a flowmaster system and a cutout! Anyway it sounds great!
very loud! sets off alarms!
I was wondering if i should go with a similar setup? might not sound as great as my friend's Z but probably good.

99maro,There is alot of Dynomax,Flowmaster fans here.Nothing wrong with um.I"m just replying. I have Magnaflow,I got it thru Huskers hiperformance $380,did it myself.Easy
3-1/2" bore polished tips,polished muff.Sounds good,pretty mouthy at higher rpms.
I looked at making a custom cat w/ Vortex cherry bomb muff.Price was about the same.
Something I found was the tubing stock has some mandrel bends,only 2 1/4" stock though.The Magnaflow replaces this w/ 2-1/2"mandrel.I like it, low end torque retained.

Easy buddy, wait at least an hour before freaking out about nobody replying right away.

I say if you have to stay within that $350 budget, listen to the exhaust in person. Soundclips don't always sound the same as in real life.

I've heard both Dynomax and Flowmaster systems that have sounded like pure @$$ and some that have sounded really nice...

You also have two other low cost options...Ravin and Spintech. Both are sort of new and not as well known as the first two but I've heard a Spintech that sounded really REALLY nice, better than Dynomax and Flowmaster IMO.
