B&M ShiftPlus

Does any one have the B&M ShiftPlus, if so, how much improvment did you get out of it, and how much is it? Or if there is something better?

Buddy has it... for 34 bucks we could not notice any improvement at the track in his time with it in. He claims he felt it shift harder...

If ya got 34-40 to toss around why not, but look into other things first IMO

I could see how it would hurt transmission if your tranny already is worn out such as, worn clutch packs and such. I put it on my car and noticed changes mostly in part-throttle shifts and crazy downshifts.

About the Shift Plus:

I have one and have had it on the car for going on 2 years. My transmission shifts perfectly fine, and firmer at that.

About it 'screwing up the transmission' :

Its an electronically controlled transmission, therefore the shift plus affects it electronically...obviously. Anyone have a hypertech power programmer? From their website:

Features:

Transmission Shift Firmness
Firmer full-throttle gear changes for faster acceleration

Crazy stuff...they have the same thing in their programmer, but nobody complains of them destroying transmissions. Install the thing right (you know, with the included instructions that a monkey could follow) and you wont have issues, and yes it shifts harder...

post on the drivetrain forum and you'll get better answers
but..
i've heard they increase line pressure (i hear it about ALL the b&m products), and that hurts the tranny
hence why i dont even bother with any b&m products

the way I see it is... if it were wrecking transmissions they wouldnt be selling the junk.. also.. if they werent good products in general.. then B&M wouldnt be one of the top transmission improvement product sellers in the nation..

Still waiting for someone to explain how the hypertech works so my theory can be disproved
