umm....okay but not my question..thanx though...im swapping rear ends with a 95 lt1 from a 5 speed... now correct me if im wrong but a manual has smaller gears... 2.73 i think. question is can i keep the 3.23's from my car in conjunction with that rearend and the manual transmission... aka swapping out for larger gears.

i have an automatic by the way

well i put a posi rear end from a auto on my car when my rear end died. seemed to work well for me, i've got faster take off, and no problem spining 1,2, and part of 3rd when i get on it. AJ

Depends on the manual...

alot of manua;ls came with 2.73s, and some came with 3.42s.

The rear axle off a z28 will jsut bolt in if oyu want to do the entire swap and everything with brake conversion.

i did the z28 rear axle swap, worked great, and I upgraded my stock 3.23s to 3.42s.

I assume you mean to swap a 6-speed not a 5-speed, if you plan on putting a Borg Warner 5-speed thats found in v6s behind anything with any torque, you are asking for trouble.
