Angry almost killed by my floormat

Has anyone else run into this issue? I was leaving my apartment last night in my Camaro and my gas pedal got stuck under the floor mat as I drove through the parking lot. I had to throw her into neutral and quickly reach down and pull up my floor mat before I slammed into my apartments security gate Needless to say,I'm buying a new/shorter front floor mat today. I was just curious if anyone else has had this happen to them. I've had this car for 4 years and this is the second time that this has happened. One too many times for my tastes Just sharing.

Thats never happened to me yet. But my floor mat does have a tendency to move up and under the gas petal making it hard for me to push down. I just reach down and pull it back every so often so it doesn't get too far up.

see that's what i usually do too, but when you get in it moves up sometimes. So you have to do it pretty much everytime that you get in. And well i apparently forgot to pull in back last night.

I guess it's just worn out, if the the grips on the back are breaking off it won't stay in place, but i've never had any problems.

I have a second set of rubber mats over the carpet ones to protect the factory ones.

One day last winter me and my sister were merging onto the highway and me doing my usual fly on the gas got stuck and I couldnt get the car to stop accelerating, by the time I got the matt off the gas we were doing 80 something It was scarry.

Haha one time in my v6 my shoelace got stuck on the clutch because I was resting my foot on the little stop to the left...needles to say it wasnt fun trying to get out of that one while driving...I learned to lace my shoes up a little harder after that one, but one time my floor mat got caught, but luckily I was only leaving the garage.
