AC into TB?

It seems like somebody would have already tried this, but what do u guys think of this... If i somehow ran a hose from the air conditioner into the elbow near the TB, wouldnt the really cold air from the AC provide some nice power gains? Kinda like an intercooler for a TC.

The compressor is powered off the drive belt, I doubt there would be any gain. Another issue would be the compressor turns off at WOT.

the few degree drop in air temp would be negated by the added weight of the car

If you really wanted to experiment, run a self contained water circulation system instead. Some lengths of tubing to go to and from the TB, a water pump, holding tank and ice. It is worth about .1 in a turbo buick, don't know what the gains would be with a N/A motor.

not nearly as much... in a forced induction car the air entering the TB is heated due to the rise in pressure.. therefore the air can be cooled a fair ammount by the use of an intercooler or some other form of cooling, in a N/A car the air wont be hot enough to get cooled very much (if that makes any sense)
