hey ive got a friend at work whos 99 camaro with a 3.8 is making a ticking noise. It sounds like its coming for around the intake manifold. She says its sputters and idles rough? Ive got a good amount of experience with the LT1, but not much with the 3800. Id really appreciate any help, thanks!

 

has he recently installed headers?? Could be the egr.

 

sounds like a misfire, if its sputtering and idling like that. Ticking could be valves...
