97 3.8 v6 starts and immediately stalls
Hey CamaroZ28,
My Camaro is my daily driver. I have been driving it consistently for over a year now. On Monday, just two days ago, something unusual happened. The car fired up and ran normal for the first 5 seconds. Right after 5 seconds, it would stall. It seemed as if I turned the ignition off. After two more starts, it was fine. Today, now the car does the exact same issue. I rev the car on start up, but it still stalls. I do not know what could be the problem. I assume something with ignition. Does anyone have any idea?

You may be having an intermittent problem with the “fuel enable” signal from the theft deterrent module (TDM). If the SECURITY light stays on it may be due to a fault in the wiring circuit that reads the resistance of the pellet in the ignition key:

Two solutions:
1. Replace the key switch in the steering column that signals the security module that the right key is inserted.
2. Bypass the system to remove all theft security.
Watch a whole bunch of youtube videos about how to do this,
