93 3.4 cold air intake

i got a 93 with the 3.4. when i bought it, it already had a cold air intake on it..if i am going down a highway or just down a road where i am doin around 40 and i take my foot off the gas and just coast, the check engine light will always come on, but when i turn the car off and turn it back on, the light will be off. well i was cleaning the filter the other day and noticed that there is a connection that was just sitting under the filter that isnt connected to anything. it is located about right where the original air box would be.. it does has 2 sensors located in the intake but more towards the front of the engine. can anyone tell me what sensor i need to install to the front of the intake....if it would be easier to see pics let me know and i can get them to you...thanks

SES on deceleration is most likely EGR.

There isn't any sensor down where the stock airbox was, you sure it's not your marker light or fog light harness?

Your car is a 5-speed I'm guessing. That looks like the plug for the AIR pump which is mounted below the ABS controller at the corner of the radiator. AFAIK only the manual cars had them. It's an electric pump that would suck air from the stock intake tube and put it into the passenger exhaust manifold for lowering emissions. Anyway, looks like the previous owner yanked it when they replaced the intake and just tucked the connector out of the way behind the ABS, that's pretty much what I did when I installed my airbox and headers.

<edit> BTW disconnecting the AIR doesn't set the SES light, I confirmed this when I disconnected mine.

Well then it shouldn't be AIR. How many wires and what colors? It looks like a 2-pin connector? There's 3 of those on the ABS controller and another 2-pin connector for the fan. That's really all I see in that area. The AIR connector is 3-wire.

BTW - what is that light blue wire all by itself? That's not factory.

that blue wire is hooked up to the radiator fan cause when i bought it, it wasnt even hooked up at all but that wire just goes underneath, i know it looks like it goes into that wire but it really goes under it, but it is a 3 pin connector and theyre all like a light green color

I give up. Definitely not AIR those are red, red, black. Everything else in that area is 2-wire. I even checked the wiring diagrams and don't see any connector with 3 shades of green.
