4th gen V6 top speed

whats the top speed on a 93-97 V6 f-body?
93-97= 3.4L
98-02=3.8L
is that right for camaros and firebirds?

118, they are electronically speed limited.

without it, in a 5-speed, mid 15 second car 3.4 or 3.8l car i woudl say close to 130ish maybe? My car seems to still have some steam in 4th when it hits the limiter.

also forgot to point out...

93-95 are 3.4Ls, but in California in 95 you could gt a 3.8L.

96-02 are all 3.8Ls, biggest change I think is in 99 or 2000 they switch to a better flowing exhaust manifold.

i am sure i have had my car over 120 before also.. but the last few times i was up that fast it would cut out at like 110 ish i just think my whole electrical system is screwed up , the lights for the HVAC only come on 1/2 the time, and never used to at all (they started coming on december 21-02 at random times) and the power locks just decide when they want to work, along with the cruise control

my 99 3.8L stops gaining speed at 118, but im positive it could go faster if I got the limiter out.

I have a 5-speed and it works 100%..

Jstu go cruising then it feels like I slam the brakes when it hits the fuel shut off.

Whats cool is if you pop the clutch in right when it hits all the guages go dead, put the car in neutral rev, and the tach, speedo, temp, oil pressure all go dead, then put the car in gear and engage the clutch and everything kicks back on magically, its awesome .

Sorry to hear about the limiters some people have, its not like most people drive over 118 mph anyway.
