My mom has a 97 RS with a 3.8, auto. A few months ago she was having her oil changed where she works (Caddillac dealer) and they noticed the rear main seal was leaking. She had the rear main replaced and about 4 days after the #6 bearing spun. The motor was replaced with a genaric rebuilt (that extended warranty really paid off this time). Well about 3500 miles later the #4 bearing let go. Now she has it towed to a chevy dealer. They replace the reman with a new gm motor. She picked the car up friday and it lasted about 50 and the #1 bearing spun. My question is, is there anything that these dealers could be overlooking that is causeing this to happen, or is it just pure concidence? It just seems kinda hard to believe that the car has been through 3 motors in just under 4 months and nothing else is wrong with it, but i also can't think of anything that would cause this to happen. Anyone with any similar experiences?
