Post 3.73's

I've had my exhaust and intake on order since early August, but since SLP still doesn't want to ship and I'm ichting for something else on my car, i was considering new gears. 3.73's seem to be the recommendation for most people, and I know it'd help my 1/4 times, but im considering road racing at a newly built track near me. Would 3.73's be horrible at road racing since it affects top end speed, or would it help exit speed?

3.73's are overkill for most V6 f-body applications. Your top end will suffer quite a bit, and your gas mileage will suffer too. I'd recommend 3.42s, I've heard they are a nice comprimise between liveability and performance.

unless you are at the track every week I would stay away from the 3.73....thats a hard ratio.
