yah well see the problem is, is that no every one wants to make there 3.4 faster then an lt1 or even the same hp you guys all come in and go sell your 3.4-3.8 and get a z28 or ss. some people just want to add a few more ponies or some style of dual exhaust. the original poster never said how can i get my 3.4 to be as fast as a lt1. all he asked was can i get a few hp out of a cold air intake and flowmaster exhaust.

Re: 3.4l suggestion on add ons

Coming from a guy with that has had just about every type of v6 f-body...

if you are trying to be a fast guru, don't do it with the 3.4L.

That doesn't make it a bad car, I woudl still rock my 3.4L if I didn't have to pay more then it was worth to fix it up. You you are just for bolt ons, and a little more umph...

go for intake/exhaust. Make sure its running right, add gear/lsd and some suspenions for fun, and enjoy the car.

Even if you do the "famous" topend swap that has shown no track numbers or turbo, or supercharge or build up n/a etc.... You will always have a problem tuning it. You will probably see ~$1-1.5k to tune it.

and you are not going to get fast with big mods unless you tune for it. imo...

There great to drive.
I like mine.
The Z drives good but the V6 is light and nimble V6.
Spend money on your V6 there is nothing wrong with that.
