3.4 wont start??
3.4 wont start??
ok so i have a 95 camaro with a 3.4. the body and trans has 120xxx on it.. i just put a new jasper 3.4 in her approximately 4-5k miles ago.. car has been running good since the new engine.. with exception of needing a new catalytic converter...
so today i go to start my car about 20 minutes ago and i get a click, then a pop and then the whole car shifted a little and didn't start..tried to start it a few more times but all i'm getting is a click.. doesnt even sound like its really attempting to turn over, but i could be wrong.. any suggestions? starter maybe? need help fast because i need my car for school and work, which i missed both today because of this..thanks

SOrry to hear you missed school and work, my 94 caused that to me many times at the end, thats why I had to sell it(I miss it dearly
) BUt I had an electrical drain and other problems after my car got busted into to steal my crappy stereo.
as for starting problems, I'll make a list..
-did you try to jump it is your bat all good(if you tested it and its good is your alternator wire good mine corroded up and would not charge the bat once, I had to replace it)
-do you have an alarm(kill switch?, mine had a problem a few times)
-has your starter made wierd noises recently?
-do you have a 5-speed? I had to bypass my clutch safety switce a few times with a paperclip when it went bad, for like a weak.
-do you think maybe its your ignition swithc, mine went bad after awhile and I had to replace it on my 94 ~110k. miles Dealer part cost liek $350, and had to get a new key.
-When you turn the key to the "on" position but not to start thte car and with teh radio/ac off do you hear your fuel pump make a "whir" noise to prime up the system(if not it might be bad and may want to look into a walboro 255, better and cheaper then a stock replacement, IM me for a good deal one)
