3.4 V6 Misfiring

Just trying to get some professional opinions...the car is misfiring...it has been about 6 months since I replaced the plugs and wires...im thinkin i just need to replace them out...my friend thinks that i need a new distributor??...just seeing what people think.

try replacing the plugs and wires first I guess,if that doesnt help then check your coils.and our 3.4 doesnt have a distributor

im having the same problem but does your battery gauge and rpms go crazy when just idling though?

How long have you had this car, and do you know what was done to it before you got it...

i've had for about five years now and really the only major thing that has been done to it was the transmission was replaced

What kind is it.
3.4 and 3.8 have different ignition systems.

Happened to me before too. Recommend pulling the coils and checking the resistances across the terminals. The specs are listed in the Chilton's / Hayne's manuals. Might as well change the plugs / wires while you're at it too. Good luck!

already changed the plugs and the wires and one of the coils now whenever i rev it to 4000 rpms it goes right back down 3000
