3.4 running rich upon startup, please help...
Hi guys,
I installed a 3.4 V6 from a Camaro in a '72 TR6, including the GM 5 speed. Engine runs, all is doing very well. However, I have a question: the engine is running rich when starting it up. I have a scanner and once it goes to closed loop it seems to get much better. I have installed brand new one-wire O2 sensors, the temp sensor is brand new as well as the MAP sensor. I have also installed brand new injectors.
Can anybody give me some ideas here? I have been reading the 3.4 runs rich on startup. Would it help to put a 3 or 4 wire O2 sensor so I can take advantage of the quick heat up time? Or, is there a better one wire O2 sensor I could use?
any help would be appreciated...

thats normal on any fuel injected engine. The egnine will run at full power, IE as rich as it safely can without causing damage to plugs or sensors. It causes the engine to warm up faster and go into close loop sooner.
